British producer Jake Ridley has been writing electronic music for over 20 years. Combining the energy of early 90’s Rave with the production expertise of present-day Tech, Progressive and Drum n Bass, his tracks are defined by precise driving beats, funky baselines and euphoric breaks made to get your head nodding, foot tapping and face smiling.

Born on the south coast Jake grew up endlessly listening to taped sets of raves he was too young to attend. Fast forward a few years and he produced a spate of remixes for Sony BMG, including two for Christina Aguilera. His chillout remix of Hurt showed that he was just as comfortable making downtempo tracks as club bangers, and his release Pause Rewind (under the guise of bassDrumsnareDrum) was featured on The Wonderments section of Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show.

 

Jake has scored two films and produced music for numerous ads, computer games and apps. he has spent the last year of lockdown honing his production skills and working on a spate of debut releases under his own name for Summer 2022.
